Margaret Johnson Irvin was born in Albany, GA on April 11, 1937.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Wilson Johnson and Lillie Draper Johnson.

She attended the public schools of Dougherty County and met the love of her life John Henry Irvin with whom she had six children.

Margaret was considered to have a quiet strength and compassionate spirit. She allowed her actions to be her voice. One important step was accepting Christ at an early age as her Lord and Savior. She attended Jordan Grove Baptist Church in her early years until her health began to decline.

On Friday June 2, 2023 she was quietly called from this earthly life to eternal rest. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband John Henry Irvin, four children; Nathaniel Irvin, Joseph Irvin, David Irvin and Dale Irvin, siblings; Fletta Mae Williams,
Verdale Wallace, Wilson Johnson, Robert Johnson and William Thomas, and Jessie Johnson, son-in-law Wilson Thomas, daughter-in-law Eunice Irvin and one grandchild, Avis Irvin.

She leaves to cherish her devoted children; Lisa Irvin Thomas and John Henry Irvin Jr. Margaret also cherished her brother Calvin Johnson (Mattie Bell) of Albany, GA. She is survived by numerous grandchildren, Vontressa Mitchell (Kwandrell), David Irvin Harper, Tara Irvin, Andrew Irvin, Dontayvious Irvin, Daphne Irvin, Derrick Irvin, Nathaniel Carter, Shekiether Washington, Cassandra Washington, Demetria Carter, Tinesha Irvin, Timothy Hunter, Casey Hunter, Zemya Harry, Dontavious Washington, Antonio Frazier, Jermaine Frazier. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
