Marie Coney Robinson was born in Pineview, Pulaski County, Georgia on April 11, 1929.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Lucious and Sallie Mae Blackshear Coney.

She received her formal education in the Wilcox County School System and was actively involved in various school functions and activities.  During the early years of her youth, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.

In later years, Marie relocated to Tifton, Georgia where she resided most of her life.  While residing in Tifton, she met and married the love of her life, Arthur Robinson, Sr.  Their union was blessed with a son, Arthur Jr. whom they nurtured with patience and unconditional love.  As a devoted wife and mother, she was diligent in caring for the needs of her family.  For numerous years, she was a loyal, dedicated employee of J. P. Stevens industries and worked tirelessly to ensure that no task was left undone.

Marie was a strong but gentle lady with a  kind heart.  She had an endless reservoir of love for her family and she lived a rich and rewarding life.   One of her finest qualities was gratitude.  Even in the midst of an extended illness, she kept her faith and was always grateful for every good thing that came her way.  She will be missed by all who dearly loved her.

On March 24, 2019, she departed this earthly life and transitioned to be with the Lord.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both her husband and son, Arthur Robinson, Sr. and Arthur Robinson, Jr.

She is survived by her grandson, Craig Robinson; great granddaughter, Kassiel Robinson; two sisters, Lillie M. Green of Bronx, NY and Ruthie Mae Pressley of Albany, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many longtime friends.
