Marlon J. Binford was born in Albany, Georgia on September 15, 1972. He was the beloved son of Marion and Rudolph Jackson.

He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe Comprehensive High School and graduated in 1991.

Marlon was a very unique young man and he greatly impacted everyone around him. He was so full of life that he brought excitement everywhere he went. He was a very loving and compassionate person who never met a person who did not like him. Music was an integral part of Marlon's life. He had a fondness for all types of music and he always had a dance. During the early years of his life, he enjoyed playing basketball and often showed off his special moves on the court.

Being surrounded by family and friends filled Marlon's heart with joy. He laughed often, felt unbridled happiness, and loved unconditionally. One of his finest qualities was gratitude. Even in the midst of life's ups and downs, he was always grateful for every good thing that came his way. He was an incredible son, a loving brother, a caring cousin, and an unforgettable friend. We were all his beneficiaries because his enthusiasm and exuberance were contagious. His stamina and strength helped us realize that every day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.

Marlon departed this earthly life on April 19, 2018, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ernestine Jenkins; and his uncle, Harvis Jenkins, Sr.

He leaves to rejoice in his memory loving parents, Marion and Rudolph Jackson; his brother, Jeremiah (Charlene) Jackson; uncle and aunts, Jarvis (Mary) Jenkins, Elisha Williams, Brenda Jenkins, Janice Jackson, and Alice Goseer Jenkins; great uncle, Victor Jackson of Philadelphia, PA; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
