Martin Scott Sapp, son of Louella Kendrick Sapp and McKinley Sapp, was born in Albany, Georgia on November 15, 1962.
He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System, including Monroe Comprehensive High School where he graduated in the class of 1981.
Having professed his faith and belief in Christ, Martin was baptized at a very early age. Throughout his life, he maintained his personal relationship with the Lord. Not only did he love talking about God Almighty, but he loved hearing the Word and fellowshipping with his Christian brothers and sisters.
While yet a young man, Martin began working with his father's lawn care business. He was later employed with Macgregor Golf Company of Albany for numerous years. Throughout his working career, Martin wore many hats. He was a very conscientious, industrious individual who took pride in providing "top-notch" service while working in the construction industry. His ambition and drive spurred him to later become an independent car radio installation contractor for many years.
Martin was very passionate about his family, about his work, and about his life. He laughed often, felt unbridled happiness, and loved without condition. He embraced life's experiences with open arms and brought excitement everywhere he went. He will best be remembered for his kind heart, generous and caring spirit, and love for his family. Martin also made many life-long friends whose lives were touched by him in a very special way.
On October 9, 2018, Martin's earthly journey ended as he entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paralee and Virgil Kendrick, and Ada and Idus Sapp.
He leaves fond memories to be cherished by his loving parents, Louella and McKinley Sapp; siblings, Gwendolyn Sapp Williams of Albany, GA, Brenda L. (Albert) Hawkins of Newton, Ga, Vevrette (Jerry B.) King of Lanham, MD, Michael Sapp, and Kenneth W. Sapp (Shawanna Qawiy) of Atlanta, GA, Joyce D.
