Obituary

Marvin Lewis Glover, beloved son of Mary Johnson and the late Willie Johnson, was born in Albany, Georgia on June 18, 1962.

He was educated in the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe High School.  "Pop Titty," as he was fondly called, developed a passion for welding and building construction very early in life.  During school, he gained valuable industrial skills that aided him in his future career.

Marvin had a fulfilling career in construction  and welding and dedicated himself to his work for many years.  He took great pride in his craftsmanship and was highly respected by his colleagues for his skills and unmatched work ethics.   Marvin was never satisfied with idleness and constantly challenged himself to think outside of the box while working diligently to ensure that his work was flawless.

Family and friends meant the world to Mavvin and he cherished spending time with them, making every gathering memorable with his witty sense of humor.  He had an infectious smile that could light up any room and a vibrant personality that drew people towards him.  You couldn't know him without being inspired by his profound  love and devotion to his family, friends, and community.   "Pop Titty" will long be remembered for his warm heart and willingness to help others..

On August 25, 2023, Marvin departed this earthly life at Pruitt Health Care in Sylvester, Georgia..  Although his departure leaves a void in the hearts of many, his wonderful life will forever be remembered.  In addition to his father, he was predeceased by three brothers, Antonio Glover, Vincent Glover, and Marlon Glover; and his grandmother, Dora Hobbs..

Cherished memories will forever remain with his mother, Mary Johnson; two brothers, Allen Glover and Kavaskie Johnson of Albany, GA; uncles, Bishop John (Inez) Thomas and Jimmy (Shirley) Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
