Marvin Jay was born May 9, 1966 in Colquitt GA. He was the beloved son of the late Louis "Buddy" Jay and Lula Douglas Jay. He was the baby of the family. Marvin attended school in Miller County and was naturally very educated.
He was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. He was dedicated to his family and friends. He worked as a farmer most of his life. His first job was at Farmer Fertilizer for a very long time.
Marvin departed this life on June 17, 2023. He is preceded in death by four siblings, Michael Jay, Gloria Jay, Robert Taylor Dunbar and Henry Lee Henderson and by his first cousin, Johnny Jay Jr. and sister-in-law Diane Jay.
He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters; Charlene Bell,and Dynesha Bell of Colquitt one son Justin Wade (De'Lisa) of Valdosta Eight sisters; Mittie Stubbs, Evelyn Stubbs of,Bainbridge, Flossie Anderson and Ruby Bell of Baker County, Barbara Curry (Arthur), Beatrice Johnson of Colquitt, Linda Hudson (Greg) Blakely, Nicole Jackson of Arlington, two brothers; John Jay of Baker County, Alexander Jay of Albany, one sister-in-law Angela Jackson Jay, one aunt, Mable Douglas Graham of West Palm Beach, FL, two very special uncles Willie Jay of Columbus, OH and Bailey Jay of Baker County and a devoted friend, Cedric Grant. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
