Mary McClendon Boone was born in Albany, Georgia on December 11, 1947 to the late Albert and Annie McClendon.

She was educated in the Dougherty County Public School System. At an early age, she accepted her Lord and Savior and united with New Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health declined.

Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who diligently cared for the needs of her family and friends. She was employed as a cook at The First United Methodist Church of Albany, Georgia. She will be remembered as a loyal woman with a big heart and a passionate spirit.

On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, Mary quietly departed this earthly life at Phoebe Memorial Hospital. She was preceeded in death by her daughter, Marnique Boone; and siblings, L.B. McClendon and Willie McClendon.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: daughter, Teresa Boone, son, Dexter (Catrina) Boone, Caretaker/grandson, Corey Boone, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, two brothers, Walter (Sarah) McClendon, Alex (Pauline) McClendon all of Albany, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
