Mary C. Fisher-Bowens was born Aril 24, 1947, in Arlington, Georgia .  She was the beloved daughter of the late ST and Emma B. Fisher.

She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System and actively participated in various school events and activities.  At a young age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and remained obedient throughout life's journey.

Mary was a loving mother who devoted her life to caring for the needs of her family.  She was an incredibly talented and zealous cook with a burning desire to pursue a career in the food service industry.  For many years, her culinary skills were put to test at various eateries/restaurants in the Albany area.  Mary was passionate about her work and labored untiringly to ensure that nothing was left undone and that customers were always satisfied.  She firmly believed in working hard for what you want and always being willing to do the right thing.

Loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Mary's heart was filled with love and compassion.  She had a selfless spirit and never hesitated to encourage and support others.  Family and friends meant the world to her and she truly enjoyed spending quality time with them.   Mary was a kind, generous individual who greeted each day with a smile and touched the lives of many.  To know her was to truly love and respect her.

On Friday, July 24, 2020, Mary departed this earthly life at Providence Healthcare.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren and three siblings, Willie Vernell Mitchell, Emma D. Fisher, and Essie B. Hill.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Renee, Debra James, Vickie (James), and Stacey (Gloria); grandchildren; siblings, T. C., Robert, Vera, Cora, and Evan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
