Obituary

Mary Alice Bradley was born in Albany, Georgia on January 25, 1953.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Willie Mitchell and Marie Jackson Mitchell.

She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System.  Throughout school, Mary Alice was a very energetic student and a ray of sunshine to teachers, fellow students, and close friends.

Very early in life, Mary Alice was taught to love and reverence God.  She was prayerful in her daily walk and remained steadfast in her faith and belief in Jesus Christ.

Domestic at heart, Mary Alice was a devoted and caring mother who diligently cared for the needs of her family.  Over the years, she skillfully balanced her duties as a homemaker with her employment as a factory worker, cook, and hospitality worker.  In each work setting, her honesty and integrity; attention to details; and exceptional work ethics were second to none.  She was a stellar employee who was highly regarded by coworkers and supervisors.

Often described as a strong and outspoken individual, Mary Alice was a joy to be around.  She was a friend you could always count on a stood ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  She believed deeply in unconditional love; delighted in spending time with family and friends; and truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including dancing.  Her presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

On November 7, 2024, Mary Alice quietly transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by  her son, Erek Bradley; and three siblings, Willie James Mitchell, Jr., Andrew Mitchell, and Cynthia Mitchell.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her children, Darren Jackson, and Kimberly Jackson; grandchildren, Nakimbar Savage, Shedrick Harris, Andrew Jackson, D'Ericka Jackson, Blaine Jackson, Bryce Jackson, Shaereka Bradley, Erek Bradley, Jr., Sherrod Stevens, Chaunivia Taylor, and Kendrick Jones; twelve great grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy (Karl) Johnson, Marian (Charles) Ellis, Gail (Jerry) Johnson, Horace (Michelle) Mitchell, Jacqueline Mansfield, and Anthony Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
