IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary
Henderson
February 3, 1972 – July 10, 2020
Mary Lee Henderson was born in Shellman, Georgia on February 3, 1972, to the late Corine and Charlie Alexander.
She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System and was active in various organizations, activities, and events.
Very early in life, Mary accepted Christ as her personal Savior and began her journey with the Lord. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and remained steadfast in her service.
Mary was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ashely Henderson. They shared a love that was strong and unshakeable. Together, they taught their children the importance of knowing right from wrong, respect for others, and the strength of a smile. Mary was a hardworking, energetic wife and mother who was always upbeat and ready to tackle anything. She took great pride in caring for the needs of her family through her employment with Sanderson Farms in Moultrie, Georgia.
Love and friendship defined Mary. She had a talent for connecting with people, never met a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her home was a revolving door for friends and family and she brought a ray of sunshine into every room that she entered. She will be remembered by many as a friend you could always count on; a witty, fun-loving "jokester" who delighted in making people laugh; and a kind, giving woman with a sweet, humble spirit.
On July 10, 2020, Mary's untimely departure from this earthly life left a void in the hearts of family who loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Raynard Daniels; and her sister, Lillie Blocker.
She leaves loving memories that will forever be cherished by her devoted husband, Ashely Henderson; six children, Yolanda Daniels, Showana Chester, Richard Daniels, Nakimer Daniels, Emmanuel Daniels, and Hattie Chester; two bonus children, La'dericka Chester and Fa'deerah Chester; siblings, Bettie Daniels, Johnnie Daniels, Dorothy Daniels, Theresa Hightower, Minnie Daniels, Leroy Daniels, Johnnie Daniels, and Lester Daniels; eight grandchildren; special friends, Beatrina and Fred Adams; several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
