Mary Ella Quarterman was the beloved daughter of the late Nelson Quarterman and the late Thelma Beasley Hall Chapman.  Mary was born September 7, 1942 in Albany, Georgia.

She was educated in the Dougherty County School System.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, and united with Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend R. B. Evans.  She worked on the Mission Board where she served as President, in the Mission Department, and the pastor's Aide Committee.

Mary was employed at Phoebe Putney Hospital, Dougherty County School System, and she was a security guard with the Burnett Security Company.  She enjoyed grilling, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

On July 24, 2022 Mary was called home to be with her Lord and Savior.

She leaves to cherish her memories her sisters, Mae Black and Odessa Osborne both of Grand Rapids, MI, Doretha Quarterman from Indianapolis, IN, and Carolyn Hightower from Lithonia, GA; brothers, Roosevelt Chapman of Grand Rapids, MI, Sam Chapman (Shirley Clinton) of Murfreesboro, TN, and JD Chapman of Albany, GA; one goddaughter, Alfredia Lowe Mackeroy; a special nephew, JaMal Osborne; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
