Mary Lavett Tumblin, beloved daughter of Shirley Tumblin Williams, was born in Albany, Georgia on May 24, 1974.
She received her formal education in the public schools of Dougherty County, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School.
During the early years of her life, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was faithful in her study of God's Word under the guidance of Pastor Pearl Banks.
"Tiny" as she was affectionately called, was a strong kindhearted individual who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and the joy of the Lord in her heart. One of her finest qualities was gratitude and, throughout life's ups and downs, she was always grateful for every good thing that came her way. She was loving, giving, and willing to help anyone who asked.
On Saturday, February 10, 2018, Mary's earthy journey ended as she quietly entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Eddie Mae Hill.
She leaves fond memories that will forever be cherished by her loving mother, Shirley Tumblin (Johnny) Williams, four children, Dantonio Tumblin of Albany, GA, Lakkiesia (Gregory) Charles of Leesburg, GA, Montresia Tumblin of Hoover Heights, TX, and Precious Tumblin of Albany, GA; five grandchildren, Angel Pratt, Kwamilya Tumblin, Anayah Tumblin, Dantonio Tumblin, Jr., and Adoreable Tumblin; a devoted sister, Britany Fogle of Ft. Lee, VA; one aunt, Betty Rowe of Albany, GA; two uncles, Horace Tumblin and Bobby Tunblin of Albany GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Remember me with smiles not tears,
For all the joy through all the years.
Recall the closeness tat was ours,
A love as "sweet" as fragrant flowers.
Don't dwell on thoughts that cause you pain,
We'll see each other once again.
I am at peace…try to believe,
It was my time…I had to leave.
But "what a view" I have from here,
I see your face, I feel you near.
I follow you throughout the day,
You're not alone along the way.
And when God calls you…you will be,
Right by my side…right here with me.
Till then, I'll wait by heaven's door
