IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Member Lee
Holsey, Jr.
February 28, 1955 – June 8, 2025
Member Lee Holsey, Jr., son of the late Member Lee Holsey, Sr. and Minnie Robinson Holsey, was born in Lee County, Georgia on February 27, 1955.
He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System. Throughout school, he actively participated in various school functions and activities while gaining valuable industrial skills that followed him into adulthood.
At an early age, he accepted Christ and united with the Mt. Able Missionary Baptist Church in Lee County. He dearly loved the Lord and remained prayerful and humble in his daily walk.
Honeyman, as he was fondly called, relied heavily on his "hands-on" skills as he began his career as a construction worker with LRA Construction Company. Over the years he continued to hone his skills and worked tirelessly to ensure that every task was given his utmost attention and completed with extreme care. He was dedicated to pleasing people with his work and always gave his best. Upon retirement after 30 years of service, he was hailed as a loyal and dedicated employee who never faltered in his duties and responsibilities.
Loving father and grandfather, one-of-a-kind brother and uncle, committed cousin and loyal friend, Honeyman had a big heart for all things and found great pleasure in every circumstance. The joy of his life was spending time with family and friends who often referred to him as the life of the party; a man of joy and laughter; and a good-hearted, compassionate man that everyone could rely on. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of his life.
On, June 8, 2025, Honeyman/Member Holsey, Jr. transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. Although his earthly departure leaves a void in our hearts, we rejoice in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his children, Member J. Holsey, Quinton M. Holsey, and Lindra Holsey all of Albany, GA; seven siblings, Magdalene (Eddie) Tucker, Jessie H. Parker, Evelyn (Rev. Mitchell) Hunt, Felicia Holsey, Ada Holsey, Freddie (Sandra) Holsey, and Willie F. Holsey all of Albany, GA; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a god-sister, Ida Stokes of Athens, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends .
