Michael Antonio Jackson, son of Wanda Jackson and Phillip Gilbert, was born in Albany, Georgia on September 16, 1977. He was the second of six boys born in his family.

He received his formal education in the Mitchell County and Dougherty County School Systems, including Mitchell Baker High School and Albany High School.

Michael dearly loved the Lord and gave his life to Christ as a teenager.  Throughout life's journey, he remained humble and prayerful.

"Mike" as he was affectionately called, was a very unique young man who greatly impacted everyone around him.  Family was paramount in his life and he cherished the time spent with them.  Mike was a loving and compassionate individual who never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need.  He had a fondness for music and oftentimes showed off his "rapping" abilities while playing instrumental beats on his Bluetooth speaker.

Loving son, caring father, incredible brother, awesome uncle, unforgettable cousin, and loyal friend, Michael lived life boldly and with intense energy.  He was free-spirited, strong willed, and oftentimes the life of the crowd.   His one-of-a-kind personality kept family and friends on their toes—forever wondering what he was thinking.  One of his greatest pleasures in life was fishing in in rivers, lakes, or a well-stocked pond.  Michael also had a deep passion for his beloved pit bulls that were an integral part of his life.

Though Michael's earthly departure on March 31, 2022 leaves a void in the hearts of family and friends, his exuberant spirit will always be cherished and remembered.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Jackson; two children, Charity Jackson and Michael Jackson, Jr.; a long-time friend and companion, Rhonda Perry; brothers, Steve Jackson, Derick Collier, Raybon Jackson, Jamie Collier, and Nicolas Collier; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, extended family, and friends.
