IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Minnie Jewel
Bradley
September 13, 1944 – March 24, 2025
Minnie J. Bradley was born September 13, 1944, in Albany, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of the late Essie Mae Barrett and Calvin Bradley.
She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, including Monroe High School. Throughout school, she was a very lively, energetic young lady who actively participated in numerous student organizations and school events. Her passion, tenacity, and drive spilled over into adulthood.
Very early in life, Minnie was nurtured in the Word of God. As a youth, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend J. H. Reynolds. Throughout life's journey, she remained prayerful and never ceased to give God praise and glory for all of her blessings.
Minnie had a zest for life in everything that she did. After moving to Hackensack, New Jersey in search of a better life, she joined the ranks of employees at Bergen Pines Hospital. Throughout her employment, she never shied away from hard work and always gave her best—no matter what the task. Her gentle spirit, infused with a delightful sense of humor, made a favorite among co-workers and supervisors. In later years, she returned to Albany where she remained until her demise.
Loving mother, awesome grandmother, nurturing aunt, committed cousin, and loyal friend, Minnie truly loved her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who held the key to her heart. She was full of energy, stayed on the move, and was well organized; everything had its place! Minnie was blessed with supreme culinary skills and often prepared extraordinary soulful feasts for family and friends to enjoy. In her leisure, she enjoyed music and shopping.
On March 24, 2025, Minnie transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Bradley-Harris; and her nephew, Ricky Bradley.
Cherished memories will forever remain with her daughters, Dimetruss Bradley-Smith of Stone Mountain, GA and Stephanie R. Bradley of Albany, GA; her grandchildren, Mark (Shondria) Smith II of Covington, GA and Shaniqua Smith of Stone Mountain, GA; great grandchildren, McKinley Smith and MiKai Smith; a special nephew and his family, Melvin Bradley, Teyla Brown, Torian (Prince) Brown, Teland Brown, and Blessyn Brown; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
