Minnie Lee Davis Stringer, the oldest daughter of the late Charlie and Ella Mae (Ma Bright) Davis, was born in Blakely Georgia on December 6, 1923. She attended the public schools of Early County.

Minnie Lee loved and enjoyed her place of worship and the friends that she made there.

In March 1942, she married Lucious Stringer who preceded her in death. From this union, her two oldest children were born.

Minnie Lee was a very kind and gentle-hearted person who embraced life's experiences with open arms. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and her engaging personality captured the hearts of all who knew her.

On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, she departed this earthly life at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.   In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, she was predeceased by her son, Lucious Stringer, Jr.; and four siblings, Rossie Lee Davis, Eugene Davis, Dennis C. Davis, and James Davis.

She leaves a lifetime or memories that will be cherished by her daughters, Vinell James Craig of West Hollywood, FL, Annie Stringer (Joe) Neal of Albany, GA; and Elaine Austin of Cocoa Beach, FL; one sister, Charlie Mae Henderson of Hallendale, FL; ten grandchildren, John Austin, Jr., Johnny Craig, Judy Stringer, Dionne Stringer, Sheronda Fuller, Ambrosha Austin, Andrea Austin, Roderick James, Shatavia Craig, and Marcia Johnson; nine great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
