Obituary

Mona Jenkins Moore was born in Albany, Georgia on   December 6, 1969.  She was the loving daughter of Willie Lee Jenkins and the late Patricia Ann Jackson.

She received her early childhood and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School.  Throughout her school years, she was a fun-loving, adventurous young lady who garnered much from her educational experiences and extra-curricular activities.

Very early in life, Mona accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  As she began her Christian walk, she united with Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully in numerous capacities.  Her faith and trust in God guided her life and she remained steadfast and prayerful in her daily walk.

Loving daughter, caring granddaughter, committed sister, awesome aunt, devoted niece, unforgettable cousin, and loyal friend, Mona embraced life with open arms.  She was outgoing and very outspoken; loved having fun; and when in her presence, there was never a dull moment.  Mona was a conscientious homemaker—always taking care of her family and ensuring that she was there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.  She was a great conversationalist who loved engaging everyone around her in endless hours of fun-filled chatter. Her glowing personality and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.

On August 8, 2025, Mona transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest and peace.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Jackson.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her father, Willie Lee Jenkins; her brothers, James Jenkins, Antwaun Jenkins, Aaron Jenkins, and James Turner; grandmother, Dorothy Lowe; aunts and uncles, Hattie Williams, Lula Simmons, Bertha Simmons, Francis Kegler and Rodriquez Kegler; nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
