IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Monique
Washington
February 18, 1968 – February 2, 2023
Monique Washington was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 18, 1968. She was the beloved daughter of Moses and Irene Washington.
She received her early childhood education in the Brooklyn (Kings County) School District. Having a keen interest in cosmetology and a strong desire to follow in her mother's footsteps, Monique attended W. H. Maxwell Career and Technical Education High School to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become a highly sought-after hair stylist/cosmetologist.
As a young child, Monique was introduced to Jehovah God. She became a faithful servant who was dutiful and incessantly committed to sharing the word of Jehovah and his kingdom with others.
A strong but gentle woman, Monique was highly regarded wherever she went. The words penned by the songwriter, "If I can help somebody as I travel along….then my living shall not be in vain," truly exemplifies her life. Her warm smile, compassionate spirit, and kind words and deeds enriched the lives of all who knew her.
The memories of Monique will always be cherished by her devoted mother, Irene Washington of Leesburg, Georgia; her father, Moses Washington of South Carolina; siblings, Eric (Anita) Washington of Monroe, North Carolina and Demond (Valerie) Washington of Berlin, NJ; her closest and most beloved friend, Keith Farmer of Albany, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
