Time to Be Born: Mose Harvey, Jr. was born in Leesburg, Georgia on June 1, 1955. He was the loving son of the late Mozell Harvey, Sr. and Mandy Mae Harvey.
A Time to Learn: He received his formal education in the Lee County School System. Throughout school, he was an exceptionally inquisitive and perceptive young man who gained valuable technical and industrial skills while actively engaged in numerous student-centered activities.
A Time to Serve: At a very early age, Mose accepted Christ as his Savior and united with Saint Matthews Baptist Church. He served faithfully over the years and remained prayerful through each season of his life.
A Time to Work: A very industrious and resourceful individual, Mose provided handyman and lawn care services to many clients in the local area. He was proud of his diverse skills and worked diligently to ensure that no tasks were left undone and his customers were always satisfied.
A Time to Embrace: Dune, as he was endearingly called by friends and family, was a very jovial and gentle-hearted man who embraced life's experiences with open arms. He was a loving and dependable brother to his sisters, an extraordinary uncle to his nieces and nephews, and an unforgettable kinsman to his cousins and friends. Dune was happiest at family gatherings—sharing meals, memories, laughs, and lending a helping hand. He will be deeply missed.
A Time to Rest: On November 19, 2024, Mose transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Johnny Sherman and Leroy McCray.
A Time to Cherish: Loving memories will forever be cherished by his sisters, Della Mae Sherman of Albany, GA and Betty McCray of Tampa, FL; his niece and nephews, Tamika McCray of Tampa, FL, Jes (Tonice) Williams of Albany, GA, and Leroy McCray, Jr., Travis McCray, and Jeremy McCray all of Tampa, FL; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
