Obituary

The journey of life for Nathaniel Horsley began in Sylvester, Georgia on September 26, 1958.  He was the second of seven children born to Virtha Tyler Sibley.

He received his elementary and secondary education in the Worth County and Dougherty County School Systems.  Throughout his school years, he was active in various school activities, functions, and sporting events.

At a very early age, Nathaniel professed his faith and belief in Christ Jesus and was baptized in Poulan, Georgia by Bishop Bill Sibley.  The faith demonstrated by his parents and grandparents led him to unite with The Church Of The Living God.

Nay was a very enthusiastic and outgoing individual whose childhood was filled with love, laughter, and frequent visits to "grandmomma's and Aunt Mae Thelma's.  He had a special love for family and friends and truly enjoyed spending time with them.  His sense of humor and laughter captured the attention of everyone around him.  Nay loved deeply, laughed often, and lived with an intense energy.  He was a one-of-a-kind son, grandson, father, grand-father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Although his earthly journey ended on September 25, 2019, we find comfort in knowing that he is with his father, Earl Horsley; and his brothers, Michael Crawford and Tony Crawford who preceded him to the Kingdom.

He leaves precious memories that will forever be cherished by his mother and stepfather, David and Virtha Sibley of Albany, GA; his son, Nathaniel Wingfield of Albany, GA; granddaughter, Marli Wingfield; siblings, Robert (Gaynell) Horsley, Peggy C. Chester, and Lishe Crawford-Smith all of Albany, GA, and Angeanette C. Snell of Columbus, GA; three goddaughters, Precious Wingfield, Rachel Wingfield, and Venus Wingfield All of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
