IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Omar Hasan
Hosely, Jr.
July 29, 1987 – June 4, 2017
He attended the public schools of Dougherty County and graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 2006. While attending Monroe, Omar was an outstanding wrestler, football player, and a member of the JROTC. He continued his education at Darton College where he excelled athletically as a Darton Cavalier wrestler.
On August 22, 2015, Omar was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Allisha Green. They first met while working at Sears and shared many happy and memorable moments. As a husband and father, Omar was diligent in caring for the needs of his family. He was employed as a driver for Cintas until his demise.
Having professed his faith and belief in the Lord, Omar was baptized in 2013 with his son Caleb Green at Institutional First Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. E. G. Sherman, Jr.
Omar was an outgoing person who garnered much from his life experiences. He held fast to his belief in family ties and responsibilities, and he took advantage of every opportunity to spend quality time with them. Not only was he a caring husband and loving father, but a devoted and loyal friend as well. He was very jovial and had a nickname for everyone; a fashionable dresser who had a style of his own; and an avid sports fan who enjoyed attending games and watching them on television. His engaging personality warmed the hearts of all who knew him. In his leisure, Omar enjoyed coaching the DCX football team—Mighty Mite Division, and occasionally playing a rousing game of Madden with his brother and cousins.
On Sunday, June 4, 2017, he departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest.
His love and memories will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Allisha Hosely; his children, Caleb Green, Amari Hosely, and Candase Hosely; one brother, Christopher (Jayne) Harris; grandmothers, Leola Hill and Myra Lillian Hosely; great aunts, Janice Obiejesie and Willie Bell Goseer; in-laws, Clarence and Maria Green; aunts and uncles, Laila, Myra, Cadijah, Lahoma, Ayesha, Alfred Sr. (Felicia), Johnny B., and James; a lifetime friend, Samantha; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children, teammates, and friends.
