Our beloved Patrina Lyons, also known as Mrs. Jade, was born in Albany, Georgia on December 3, 1952, to the late Katie Evans and Eddie McClain.
She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe High School in 1970. Throughout school, Patricia was an exceptionally inquisitive student who always wanting to understand how things worked. While honing her business skills at Monroe, she developed a deep passion for entrepreneurship which followed her into adulthood.
At a very early age, Patrina professed her faith and belief in the Lord and was baptized at Arcadia Missionary Baptist Church. Her love for God was continually manifested through her actions, kind words, steadfast prayers, compassion, and unconditional love for all mankind.
Patrina embarked on her career as a young entrepreneur in Anchorage, Alaska. A remarkably talented self-starter, she created and maintained a Temp Agency that emerged into a flourishing, cutting-edge enterprise. Later in her career, she was employed by Fox Five News and numerous hotels in the Atlanta area. Patrina received numerous commendations and outstanding awards for her business savvy, intellect, and expertise. She was a hard worker who never gave up and always endeavored to learn something new.
Family and friends were paramount in Patrina's life and she never hesitated to extend her warmth, care, and kindness to them. She had a servant's heart, noticed the beauty in all things, and saw the good in everyone. Her glowing personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life.
On March 13, 2023, Patrina transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Charlotte Trimble and Quentin Evans.
Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Desmond Gordon, Angela Arnold and Mia Stroman; three brothers, Roderick Evans, David McClain, and Henry (Kim) Trimble; her goddaughter, Rosalyn; grandchildren, Shiniesha, Jazmine, Erica, Shaday, Jamir, Mecca, Desmond, Lee, Bell, Ali, Amia, and Bilal; great grandchildren, Aaliyah and Riley; a very special aunt, Rosa Lee Flournoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
