IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Payton Soraya
Washington
December 29, 2011 – December 19, 2020
Payton Soraya Washington was born December 29, 2011, in Albany, Georgia to Daryl and Allison Washington. Despite the fact that she lived in a rural area, Payton was very much a "big city girl" as she spent a lot of her time in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her education in the Dougherty County School System where she completed kindergarten through third grade.
Although she was small framed, her heart, her mind and her spirit were enormous! Payton touched people from all over the world! Though she was not a baby of many words, she could always tell you exactly what was on her mind! Part of her short journey in life consisted of a lifelong friendship with her only brother, Kash Carter Washington. Payton adored her mother, who was also her fulltime caretaker, from the moment she was born until she transitioned to her final resting place.
While to Payton's family and friends, her life was cut too short, God already knew when he would call her home. He took her mortal body and clothed it in immortality. Patyon's life was guided by a loving mother: Allison Washington of Albany, Georgia; a father, Daryl Washington of Wilmington North Carolina; a brother, Kash Carter Washington of Albany, Georgia; loving and devoted grandparents: Gina R. Scott and Johnny (Jackie) Scott of Albany, Georgia; grandmother: Tina Cabrera of Wilmington North Carolina; loving great grandparents: Bernice Hamilton (Willie) of Albany, Georgia, and David Robinson (Vickie) of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; a great, great grandmother: Gladys Williams of Albany, Georgia; two loving aunts: Ashley Scott and Lavokeyia Harrell of Albany, Georgia; two great aunts: Verona Fitzhugh (Greg) of Albany, Georgia and Sharon Nickelberry (Richee) of Atlanta Georgia; two very special cousins: Christian Harrell and Chelsea Fitzhugh of Albany, Georgia; a godmother, Contessa Cleveland of Albany; plus a countless number of cousins, relatives and friends. Payton also had three very special nurses who thoroughly and lovingly cared for her throughout her lifetime, Cindy Lewis, Brianna Waters, & Marquette Gibson.
Payton was an unofficial, certified fashionista! She lived each day to the fullest, all while giving the fiercest side eye and diva attitude (lol)!! "Queen P" would softly tell her family and friends, "All deaths are sudden no matter how gradual the dying may be, but death can never kill love. It is eternal."
Queen P, the world will never be the same and you are to blame!!
