August 7, 1980, Leesburg, Georgia.  She was the daughter of Bernice Wallace Harris and the late Wade Hicks.

On Sunday morning, June 8, 2020, God saw that the road was getting rough and the hill was hard to climb for our beloved Sue , so God gently closed Peggy Sue's weary eyes and whispered, "Peace Be Still."  She departed this life at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, B. J. Harris, Sr. and Herschel and Viola Hicks; and two uncles, Jessie James Harris and B. J. Harris, Jr.

Early in life, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She was educated in the public schools of Dougherty County.

With a caring heart and remarkable personality, she was known as Sue .  She was a beautiful devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  Her passion was caring for others whom she loved dearly.  She was employed by VMR Retirement Center of Albany for many years until her health declined.

Peggy Sue was a joy to all who knew her.  Her laughter, joy and kindness spoke highly of her character.

Precious memories of a life well lived will always surround her loving son, Jaheim Harris; mother, Bernice (Jeffrey) Wallace; grandmother, Mary Harris, a close brother she love so very much, Tyrone Harris of Albany, GA; four brothers, Leonard Hicks, Scott Tyler, Stephen Seay, and Tony Brown all of Leesburg, GA; uncles, Charlie Harris of Albany, GA, Larry (Nadine) Harris of Germany, and Calvin Harris of Macon, GA; aunts, Connie (Otis) Harris and Peggie (Samuel) Green of Albany, GA; great aunt, Ola (Paul) Dyous of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and special friends, Anne Tonney, Ann Anderson, Alice Moultrie, Robert Johnson, Casandra Daniels, Milton Daniels, Tamika Carter, and Willie L. Harris.
