IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Perry Lee
Singletary
April 7, 1957 – August 9, 2020
Perry Lee Singletary, son of the late Elizabeth Allen and Willie John Allen, was born April 7, 1957, in Albany, Georgia.
He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 1975. While at Monroe, he was actively involved in numerous student organizations and activities Perry was an athlete who loved all sports, but his love for football was apparent from the moment he picked up a football. He was immensely talented and fierce on the football field and pushed himself daily to become one of the best "tornado" players of all times.
As a youth, Perry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Through the years, he was a faithful servant who willingly served wherever needed. His faith and trust in God guided his life and allowed him to be an example for family and friends.
Perry was a devoted father who loved without condition, encouraged his children to do the right things, and supported them in all of their endeavors. For many years, he was employed as a supervisor with various companies in Southwest Georgia where he rendered loyal and dedicated service—always giving his ALL.
Fondly known as "P Diddy/Master P/Lank" Perry was very unique, full of life, compassionate, loving, and giving. He took advantage of every opportunity to spend time with his family and friends, and to savor the beauty of life. The strong bonds of friendship that he developed throughout his life will long be remembered and cherished.
On Sunday, August 9, 2020, Perry departed this earthly life at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Leroy and Everlena Hawkins; and his sister, Shirley Ann Singletary.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his children, Jaworski "Taurus" (Tesa) Bryant, Nekethia Singletary, and Shakela Singletary; siblings, Jerry Singletary, Rosetta (Leon) Drake, Delisa Watts, Patricia (Harvey) Hill, and Willie (Aysia) Allen; seven grandchildren, Brittany (Fortune) Marshall, Briauna Daniels, Kedric Singletery-Weston, Bryce Bryant, KaLeke Singletery-Jinks, Keyvonna Singletary, and Kiasia Singletery-Jinks; a devoted friend, Gorthy Martin; three great grandchildren; one aunt; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
