Obituary

Annie Reddick was born March 5, 1940, in Leesburg, Georgia.

She was the daughter of the late Julius Jenkins and the late Fannie Riggins Jenkins. She was also the beloved wife of the late Rufus Reddick, Sr., a devoted mother of 6 sons, and loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

From a very early age, Annie was nurtured in the Word of God.

She lost her mother and had to drop out of school to take care of her father and her siblings. Annie married the love of her life, Rufus Reddick Sr., on December 25, 1957. To their union of 45 years, they raised their 6 sons in Albany, Ga. They poured into their sons and opened their home to others who they also considered their children. She was a devoted wife until her husband, Rufus, transitioned to the lord on November 22, 2002. Annie never remarried and remained steadfast to her commitment to God.

On May 28, 1988, Annie was called to lead and be a prophet of God. From her humble start in the living room of their home, she was able to disciple others and became the Pastor to her faithful members at Community Spiritual Bible Study Church.

Annie was a spiritual leader to many across the country. Her deep passion for the Lord was unbending and unapologetic.

In 1995, Prophet Annie Reddick published a book on her life titled, "How My Life Blossoms Like A Tulip Flower Through
The Holy Spirit", published by Brentwood Christian Press in Columbus Georgia.

Devoted mother and grandmother, mother-in-law, Godmother, beautiful, and stoic matriarch of the Reddick family. She loved dolls, listening to her gospel music, (favorite artist Shirley Caesar), and watching Perry Mason for hours. Her smile, infectious laugh, and soft-spoken voice will be dearly missed.

As equally important was her ability to share powerful words of advice, guidance, and support. Her beautiful and tender spirit was felt by all.

She never turned anyone away. Her words of strength and encouragement were powerful and comforting. You felt the love of God in her embrace as she was truly a light in the darkness. You felt a sense of peace after your encounter with her.

On Friday, June 9, 2023, Pastor Annie Reddick transitioned to the Lord's heavenly gate, where there is no more pain, sorrow, and death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Reddick Sr.; Son: Michael Reddick; Granddaughter: Akaria Reddick; Sisters: Pashal Jenkins Haley, Willie Pearl Jenkins Brookins, Carrie Jenkins, Willie Anne Jenkins Holmes; Brothers: Homer Jenkins Riggins, Raleigh Jenkins, Sam Jenkins, Julius Jenkins, Anthony Jenkins, Walter Jenkins; Nieces/sisters: Marie Holloman.

She leaves her memories and legacy to her sons William (Tanya) Reddick, Rufus (Elnora) Reddick Jr, Bernard Reddick, Curtis Reddick, and Anthony Reddick all of Atlanta GA; a goddaughter, Roxie (Steven) Webb, 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family, and friends.

Rest well and until we meet again, we will meditate on your favorite verses: Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. (Psalms 25: 1-5 KJV.
