Obituary

Quinnetta Mechelle Renee Jackson was born in Miami, Florida on January 13, 1978.  She was the loving daughter of Sandra Lee Jackson and Vernon David Gay.

She was educated in the Dade County School System, graduating from American Senior High School in 1996.  During school, Quinnetta was a very  lively, energetic young lady with a yearning to be of service to others .  She continued her education at Broward County Community College where she received a certificate in Early Childhood.  She was later certified in Paralegal Studies.

From a very early age, surrounded by her grandparents, Quinnetta was taught the Word of God and the importance of living a life of strong character and loving kindness.  As a youth, she accepted Christ as her Savior and began her journey of Christian stewardship at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Opelika, Florida, under the leadership of Reverend W. K. Smith.  It was there that her love for God was strengthened, her spiritual gifts were nurtured, and she availed herself in service as a young member of the Junior Choir and  assisted in numerous capacities wherever needed.  Through the years, she remained faithful, steadfast, prayerful, and unmovable.

A very conscientious and persistent individual, Quinnetta touched countless lives while employed in early childhood/daycare services.  She was incredibly kind, compassionate, and greatly loved by all.  While her work was most gratifying, she later pursued her final career in the legal field, working as a paralegal with several  firms, including Dozier Law in Albany, Georgia.  Quinetta's exceptional organizational skills, logic, intellectual curiosity, dedication, and strong work ethic enabled her to render unparalleled service throughout her career.

Loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and loyal friend, Quinnetta had a servant's heart and took great pride in using her talents to help others.  She was a beacon of light and love who will be deeply missed.

On July 14, 2025, Quinnetta peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace with the Lord.  She was preceded in death by one brother and an uncle.

Loving memories will forever remain with her parents, Sandra Jackson and Vernon Gay; seven sisters and five brothers; six aunts and seven uncles; two godmothers, two goddaughters, and one godbrother; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends .
