IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Randolph Knowles.
Sr.
December 23, 1939 – October 30, 2024
Randolph Knowles Sr. was born to the late Harold Knowles and Hattie Rowell on December 23,1939 in Nassau, Bahamas. Randolph was introduced to grief at a young age with the passing of his mother. The late Harold Knowles would find love in Blanche Knowles, affectionately called "Mama Blanche, and together they raised Randolph Knowles, Sr.
At the early age, Randolph accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. In the 1970's, he joined the New Provisor Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Parker, where he served until his health declined. While his physical body could no longer make it into the sanctuary, he was faithfully present in spirit, worshipping from afar.
Mr. Knowles would come to know earthly love in Ruthie Lee Stephens. Knowing the significance of their love, Randolph proudly gave her his last name on May 5th,1963. Ruthie would now be known as Ruthie Lee Knowles. To their love was birthed 5 beautiful children and 58 years of a lasting, loving marriage.
With a solid foundation in Christ and a loving family, Randolph was destined to succeed in whatever his hands should touched. He was a hard worker from his youth. He worked many jobs that afforded him the opportunity to experience multiple states. However, Randolph ultimately settled in the industrial city of Albany, GA. In Albany, he was a dedicated employee of Fiat & Craine, LLC where he would later retire.
Knowles was an outdoor kind of guy who loved working in his garden with his loved ones and friends. Bringing in some of his cultural favorites, he was always down for a friendly game of cards or dominos. Every opportunity to fellowship with family and friends opened the door to much more meaningful conversation. Randolph would be found encouraging holy living and sharing about our amazing God. Randolph was known by many names… "Toy," "Short Man," "Junior," and "Toy Man." He was loved by many because to know him
was to love him.
On October 30,2024, Randolph Knowles was somewhere listening for his name. In the providence of God, he heard the call to eternal rest… leaving this mortality to take on immortality. Preceding him in death was his beautiful and loving wife, Ruthie Lee Stephens Knowles; one sister, Nora Johnson; one brother, Ervin Knowles; sisters-in-law, Jessie Forest, Willie Mae Jones, Georgie Williams, and Gwendolyn Knowles; brothers-in-laws, Theodies Stephens, Asley Green Jim Boyd, and John William.
He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy three devoted children: Randolph (Martha) Knowles Jr of Leesburg, GA; Jennifer Knowles of Albany, GA; and Eric H.
