"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens." Ecclesiastes 3: 1
A Time to Be Born: Reatha was born in Damascus, Georgia on October 5, 1948. She was the oldest child of the late Odell and Inez Roberts.
A Time to Learn: After relocating to Sarasota, Florida with her family at an early age, she attended the public schools of Sarasota County and graduated from Booker High School.
A Time to Plant: As a youth, Reatha was rooted and grounded in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A Time to Love: Reatha was blessed with three children whom she loved and cherished dearly. She was a kind but strict disciplinarian who reared her children to be respectful and humble, to love one another, and to love and trust in the Lord.
A Time to Grow: Retha's family grew as her children entered adulthood and she became the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and two great grandchildren who were the apples of her eye. She delighted in watching them grow and played an active role in their upbringing.
A Time to Reap: A loving mother and grandmother, Retha reaped the fruits of her labor as her family flourished in life. Over the years, she worked tirelessly to provide unconditionally for her family. She retired from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital after many years of loyal service.
A Time to Rest: On Wednesday, May 2, 2018, Retha answered the Master's call to rest from her labors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Annie Lee Moore, Adell Roberts, Odell Roberts, and Charles Roberts.
A Time to Cherish: Fond memories will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted children, Troy Williams and Ebony Wilson of Albany, GA, and Jamie Roberts of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Jalen Williams, Le'Rante Joffrion, Morgan, Wilson, Evan Roberts, Christopher Roberts, and Corrin Houston; great grandchildren, Major and Ky'ris Joffrion, brother, Eddie Roberts of Sarasota, FL; a special friend, Donna W. Joffrion; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, goddaughters, and friends.
