IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Reverend Eddie
Lee Henderson
June 21, 1942 – March 22, 2022
Reverend Eddie Lee Henderson was born in Lee County, Georgia on June 21, 1942. He was the beloved son of the late Jeff and Lizzie Mae Cross Henderson.
He was educated in the Lee County School System where he was actively involved in numerous school activities and events.
From a very early age, he was immersed in the Christian community that would be his life-long support. He also had the great advantage of growing up in a home in which the Lord was revered and praised. He was a young man of great faith nd belief in the Lord, was baptized, and began his Christian journey at Palmyra Baptist Church. He dearly loved the Lord and fully availed himself in service. Heeding the Master's call to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, he engaged faithfully in studying the whole counsel of God. As he grew and continued in the ministry, he pastored Tristone Baptist Church, Palmyra Baptist Church, Springhill Baptist Church, and Oakgrove Baptist Church. Reverend Henderson proved to be a powerful man of God with in-depth biblical teaching. Continuing in his Christian walk, Anew Beginning Faith Ministries of Albany became his final earthly church home.
Reverend Henderson's professional career was distinctive and most rewarding. He was a skilled and very talented brick mason whose craftmanship was put to task daily in the building construction industry. His expertise in the field, professional ethics, and unquestionable integrity were second to none. Throughout his career, he worked diligently to ensure that his work was flawless.
A genuinely good-hearted and humble man, Reverend Henderson was a loving husband, devoted father, nurturing grandfather and great grandfather, supportive brother, uncle and cousin, and cherished pastor who touched the lives of people around him in a very special way.
On March 22, 2022, Almighty God called his faithful servant home to eternal peace and rest. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Delois H. Thomas and Willie Lee Henderson; and one great grandchild, Ace Childs.
