Obituary

The season of life for Rinaia Scottlyn Anderson began on May 28, 2008, in Albany, Georgia. She was the loving daughter of Jacqueline L. Whitehead and Ricardo S. Anderson.

As she sprouted and grew, she began her educational journey in the Dougherty County School System.   She was an active and inquisitive student, always wanting to understand how things worked.  Rinaia was a high-spirited, talkative, and engaged sixth grader at Albany Middle School until her untimely demise.

At a very early age, she professed her faith and belief in Christ Jesus at New Hope Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia.  She was actively involved in the youth department  and dearly loved the Lord and her church family.

Rinaia was the sunshine in many hearts and never knew a stranger.   She was outgoing and caring, had a profound love for family and pets, and she had a strong will to overcome any obstacle in life that was handed to her.  She was blessed to have enjoyed family outings, gatherings, and vacations where she oftentimes basked in the sun or enjoyed being near the pool.  "Big Baby" as she was affectionately called, was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend.  She was an angel on earth who left an  indelible impression on all of our hearts.

On October 27, 2019, the season of life for Rinaia ended as she closed her eyes in Macon, Georgia  and took flight to her heavenly home.  Her departure leaves a void  that may be difficult to fill, but it serves as a reminder to treasure each moment that we have with those we hold dear.  She was    preceded in death by two grandparents, Walter Lee Barber and Karla    Andersson.

Rinaia's beautiful life will forever be cherished and remembered by her parents, Jacqueline L. Whitehead Williams and Ricardo S. Anderson; grandparents, Dorothy J. Whitehead and Paul T. Ball; siblings, Kaneshia Morris, Lawrence Williams, Ricardo S. Anderson, Jr., and Dontavius Whitehead; aunts and uncles, India (Gary) Pate, Jackling (Jimmy) Pitts, Deirdre Brown, Karmilya Anderson, Tiffany Anderson, Yalanda B. (James) Sweney, Thad Whitehead, Jermaine Whitehead, Raymond (Marie) Whitehead, Robert Anderson, Walter Barber, Jr., and Jermaine (Nicole) Barber, Sr.; and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
