Deacon Robert L. Richard, Sr. was born on March 22, 1944 to the late Lottie Lee and Totch Richard.  He was reared in church and received Christ and was baptized in the Baptist faith.

Deacon Richard was well known pianist at St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.

On Monday, August 15, 2022, he answered the Master's call and made his transition to our Heavenly Father.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lottie Lee and Totch Richard; and two brothers, Frank Richard and John C. (JC) Richard.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Margaret Richard of Albany, GA; four sons, Fredrick (Sharon) Richard, Robert (Dr. Kizzie) Richard, Jr., Michael Richard, Sr., and Carlton (LaTasha) Richard; four siblings, Annie Ruth Richard, Dean Richard, B.H. Richard, all of Camilla, Georgia, and Paul Ingram of Albany, Georgia; sister-in-law, Deborah S. Ingram; nine grandchildren, Michael Richard, Jr., Braylan Lilly, Robert Richard, III, Isaiah Donaldson, Marcus Richard, Alexis Richard, Alex Richard, Carleigh Richard, and Gabrielle Richard; best friend, Christopher (Chris) Dodson and a host of family and friends.
