Rodney Allen Armstrong was born August 4,1975 in Albany, GA. He was the beloved son of Roy Allen Armstrong and Alice Jane Smith Armwood.

Rodney Grew up in Mount Vernon New York where he received his early childhood and secondary education. He attended Mount Vernon High School and graduated Class of 1993. He continued his education at Norfolk University majoring in Business Management/Administration.

Rodney had a strong love for God and you could sometimes find him by himself or with his grandmother attending Jordan Grove Baptist church services.

He enjoyed spending time with family and nurtured relationships with people that became lifelong friends.

He loved a challenge and on any given day, he could be found in the kitchen or on the grill serving up tasty dishes for all to enjoy. Anyone that knew Rodney knows he was definitely going to feed you and you would eat good. He also enjoyed shooting for sport and fishing.

On November 13, 2007, Rodney was united in holy matrimony to Shonda Mugerson and to this union they were blessed with their son Rodney Allen Armstrong, Jr.

When his sun set, June 22,2023 Rodney was employed through a contractor for Federal Express as an assistant manager and was loved by the employee's there. Rodney was also a business co -owner of Armstrong Brakes Oil and lube which he was very proud of.

He leaves a legacy of love and beautiful memories to his wife Shonda Armstrong, his mother, Alice Jane Smith Armwood, step -father Alton Armwood Sr., father Roy Allen Armstrong, son Rodney Allen Armstrong, Jr., daughter Jailah Armstrong, son Charod Armstrong,.

Step kids Jasmine Hurley, Jamiya Hurley and JaNazjah Hurley, Brother Terence (Dorothy) Armstrong of Grayson, Ga, sisters Latria (Herbert) Dillard of Detroit, Mi and Erika Armstrong of Mauldin, South Carolina, stepbrother Alton Armwood Jr.; nephew Terence Armstrong, Jr. (TJ), 12 Aunts, 5 Uncles and a host of cousin's other relatives and friends.
