Obituary

Ronald Eugene Parker was born in Albany, Georgia on September 17, 1962.  He was the son of Ruby Lee Parker and the late Joseph Parker.

During the early years of his life, he was educated in the public schools of Dougherty County.  Throughout his school years, he was very active in numerous organizations, activities, and events.

At an early age, professed his faith and belief in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his personal Lord and Savior.

Ronald was an extremely conscientious, hardworking individual who gave his best at whatever he did.  Over the years, he developed a keen eye for car detailing and worked diligently to master the skills necessary to become top notch in that area.  His precision and attention to details resulted in cars having a "reflective mirror" image.   Not only was he an expert detailer, but a talented actor as well.  Ronald starred in "Another Turn,"  a movie that was made in Albany.

"Parrot," as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was known as a generous, enlightened man who gave freely of himself to his community and anyone in need and who loved sitting on his porch in the 700 block of Corn Avenue.  He had a great sense of humor, brilliant wit, and an incredible love for family and friends.  He was full of life, often told jokes and made people laugh, and always found the silver lining in any situation.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

On March 30, 2019, Ronald was called home, joining his father, Joseph Parker, in eternal rest.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by his mother, Ruby Lee Parker (Y.C.) Thomas; six children, Teshonnda Jackson, Teneikquia Jackson, Deander Gary, Marcus Parker all of Albany, GA, Ronald E. Parker, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, and Leon Parker of Dawson, GA; siblings, Loretta Parker, Sandra (Terry) Hopkins, Pamela Miller, and Gregory Parker all of Albany, GA, and Reginna (Nathaniel) Jones of Jacksonville, FL; a godson, Dontae' Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
