Ronnie Lewis, beloved son of Pauline Green and Charles Lewis, was born August 12, 1962, in Albany, Georgia.

In his early years, he attended Aspire Day Center during which time he exhibited incredible growth in social skills, communication, and confidence.

Throughout his time at Aspire, Ronnie was exceptionally joyful, happy, and empathetic which made him a favorite among staff and attendees.

Although faced with challenging limitations, Ronnie possessed unimaginable strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds. He lived a full life that was filled with many rewarding and unforgettable experiences.

"Deanna," as he was endearingly called, had a special way of connecting and communicating with others; and his courage and strength helped everyone realize that every day was a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He enjoyed meandering through the streets of Albany with his aide, Kashonda Swain, on fun-filled excursions; delighted in hanging out with his cousin Ulysses Green watching movies and sports; adored spending time with his niece Kiundra Lewis and taking pictures with her children—Ky'leem,
Genesis, and Elijah who held the keys to his heart; and loved just relaxing at home in front of the television with his favorite toy in hand. Yes, Ronnie's life was full….he savored much!

Ronnie departed this earthly life on Thursday, November 23, 2023—a day of giving thanks and we give thanks for having been the beneficiaries of his exuberant, contagious, wonderful, and memorable spirit.

Though his earthly candle has been snuffed out, his flame will continue to burn in the hearts of parents, Pauline Green and Charles (Joann) Lewis; his siblings, Patricia Lewis, Valerie Green, Milton (Malissa) Thompkins, Charles (Leanne Rene) Lewis, Jr., and Andre (Felita) Lewis; godmother, Johnnie Mae Gatson; aunt, Nancy Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
