A Time to Be Born: Ronnie Young was born in Leesburg, Georgia on June 4, 1960, to the late Johnny Young and Ola Mae Guess Young.
A Time to Learn: During the early years of his life, he received his formal education in the Lee County Public School System, including Lee County High School and participated in various school functions and activities.
A Time to Serve: At a very early age, Ronnie accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a faithful member of the of the Jerusalem Grove Baptist Church.
A Time to Love: Ronnie was united in holy matrimony to Sheila Denise Young.
A Time to Work: As a husband, father, and grandfather, he was diligent in caring for the needs of his family. For numerous years, he was employed at Burger King where he labored untiringly and took great pride n his work.
A Time to Embrace: Ronnie was a very kind and gentle-hearted person who embraced life's experiences with open arms. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a man with a big heart, a contagious smile, and a compassionate spirit.
A Time to Rest: On Saturday, March 24, 2018, Ronnie departed this earthly life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Gussie Reddick, Lille Myers, Polly Burney, Louis Young, Alfred Young, and Johnny Lee Young; and his mother-in-law, Katie Mae Clay.
A Time to Cherish: Fond memories will forever be cherished by his wife, Sheila Young of Albany, GA; six children, Kadisha Clay of Leesburg, GA, Teresa (Jason) Jackson of Americus, GA, Lorenzo Moore, Jr. and Quantavious (Akera) Clay of Atlanta, GA, and Damien Kittles and Javonte Lewis of Albany, GA; five siblings, Jessie Pearl McCoy, Johnny Mae Hayes, and Dennis (Annie Pearl) Young all of Smithville, GA, and Dollie Mae Merritt and Walter Lee (Verda) Young of Americus, GA; father-in-law, Johnny White of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law, Johnathan White of Atlanta, GA; a long-time special friend, Gary Stephens of Albany, GA; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren; four god-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
