Obituary

King Solomon reminds us in his closing writings… "To everything there is a season,

A time for every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1 Time introduced Rosa Mae Nelson to earth through the gifts of the late Murray and Clara Nelson on December 31, 1943 – just in time for the new year. A bright youth, Rosa was reared in the Terrell County School System. No stranger to hard work and commitment, Rosa worked for the Tallahassee Plantation and Oaks Plantation, retiring from the latter in 1995.

C.S. Lewis said, "The homemaker has the ultimate career. All other careers exist for one purpose only - and that is to support the ultimate career." United in love with Willie James Hall on November 10, 1962, their union would gift them three beautiful children: James, Mary and Belinda. Rosa's hard work served to support and nurture her family. She took great pride in being a wife and mother as unto the Lord. After, the Apostle Paul urged us to do every as unto the Lord.

Rosa Hall was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. A God-fearing woman, she lived her life with faith, strength, and grace. She served as the mother of the church of the St. Kline Baptist Church.

Rosa found joy in the simple pleasures—fishing, gardening, collecting magnets, and organizing just about anything she could get her hands on. She loved going to church, cooking for her family, and spending hours on the phone with friends, sharing laughter, stories, and support.

Though gentle in spirit, Rosa was a true pillar of strength—a breast cancer survivor who faced every health challenge with quiet resilience and unwavering courage. She was a gentle giant whose presence brought comfort, warmth, and love to all who knew her.

"… 'til time says no more." On July 24, 2025, time released its grip and released Rosa Mae Hall into eternity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Clara Nelson; her siblings, Charlotte King, Richard Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, and Matthew Nelson, her former husband and dear friend, Wille Hall, her son, James Hall, and her sister-in-law, Josephine Ford.

Though life has departed, her legacy lives on. She leaves to cherish that legacy her children, Mary Green, Albany, Georgia and Belinda Clinton (Daniel), Leesburg, Georgia; sister, Lula Mae Wesley -Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Quentin, Tereka, Peron, Charlie, Cartez, James, Jasmine (Antonio), JC, Janessa; great grandchildren, Teamoni, Jartavious, Hezekiah, Tereka, Taria, Hava, Payton, and Asher; a great, great grandchild, Zy'Lani; sister in law, Geneva Bond; brother-in-law, Henry Walden (Carrie): a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
