Ms. Rose Ella Lavant was born October 11, 1954 in Trenton, NJ to the parentage of Mr. Remer Lavant and Ms. Rosa Lee Smith. On April 25, 2023, she peacefully transitioned in her home surrounded by loved ones.

Rose was educated in the Dougherty County Public School System, where she went on to become an employee for 30 years. She served in the cafeteria at Dougherty Comprehensive High School for over 15 years amongst a host of other schools. This is where she was most known for her one-of-a kind personality and nurturing spirit.

In her spare time, Rose thoroughly enjoyed cooking, listening to "her love" Luther Vandross and entertaining company. Her infectious smile and spirit is what everyone loved about her!

She is preceded in death by her parents: Remer & Rosa Lee Lavant and her youngest son: Aaron Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories forever: three loving children, Tanda (Brad) Lavant-Holley, Toriano (Sykwana) Lavant and Arien (Shabreka) Jackson and a bonus son: Joe Lee (Benita) Williams. Devoted siblings: Minnie Lavant, Remus Lavant, Mary Lou (Promus) Roberson, and Michael (Veronica) Fowler. Her grandchildren: Jontanna (Gary) Baker, KV Walker, Toriano Lavant Jr., Tyree Lavant, Tyrianna Lavant, Toriana Oliver, Shadondra Sheard, Dakera Bishop, Ariah, Arien and Ariel Jackson. A special friend: Wanda Hill. Her favorite video girls: Harriet, Doris, Shirley and Jackie. A host of beautiful great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, students and other sorrowing relatives.
