Sister Rose G. Murray, daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Gilford was born on February 5, 1946.  She was educated in Dougherty County Public School System.

She confessed Christ as he Savior and joined the Praise And Worship Temple of East Point, Georgia.

Rose Gilford Murray was united in holy matrimony with William V. Murray, Jr. on December 2, 1982.

In the late evening hours of July 27, 2022, God Made the final call of patience, suffering, and endurance that her soul may rest in peace.  He looked out on the battlefield and saw a solider who had labored hard and He called her home for her reward.  Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her loving daughter, Carol Washington and siblings, Willie Mae Williams, Maple Frazier, Catherine Williams, Juanita P. Childs, Daniel Gilford, Simon Gilford, Milton Gilford, Lawrence Gilford, and James Gilford.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband William V. Murray, Jr. of Jonesboro, Georgia; one sibling, Mary Johnson of Toledo, Ohio; three grandsons, Paul Eason of New Mexico, Terrill Eason of Jonesboro, Georgia, and Najee Washington of Jonesboro, Georgia; one step grandson, Christopher Peterson of St. Louis, Michigan; four great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Willette Magee of St. Louis, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
