IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rossalland
Hudson
December 18, 1958 – September 17, 2024
The season of life for Rossalland Lowe Hudson began on December 18, 1958, in Arlington, Calhoun County, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert "Bobby" Lowe and Emma Jean Shedrick White.
Rossalland received her early childhood education in the Calhoun County School System. After relocating to Warner Robins, Georgia, she completed her secondary education in the Houston County School District, graduating from Northside High School. While at Northside
High, she was a very inquisitive young lady with a zeal for learning, and was actively involved in various student organizations co-curricular and activities.
Very early in life, Rossalland was nurtured in the Word of God. As a youth, she accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the Church of Christ. From that point forward, she devoted herself faithfully to God's calling on her life.
Rossalland served the Lord with her whole heart and never wavered in her service. In later years , she united with the Second Kiokee Missionary Baptist Church. It was there that her love for God was strengthened and her spiritual gifts were nurtured. Over the years, she unwaveringly availed herself in service as a Deaconess and president of the Usher Board. Her beautiful, radiant smile filled the church with warmth and made everyone feel welcomed.
A Time to Love: In 1984, Rossalland was united in marriage to her soulmate, Rock Hudson, Sr. They shared a bond that was
strong and unshakeable and their union was blessed with two daughters, Rockenia and Racquel. With her marriage to Rock, she was also blessed with three bonus sons, Rock Jr., Reginald, and Rodney. Family was paramount in Rossalland's life and she spared no effort in creating a home filled with love, joy, and strong Christian values.
A Time to Work: Rossalland had a zest for life in everything that she did. She was a loyal, dedicated employee of Cagle's Keystone Foods of Camilla, Georgia. Throughout her career, she never shied away from hard work; consistently exceeded goals; and always gave her very best—no matter what the task. Her gentle spirit, infused with a delightful sense of humor, made her a favorite among co-workers and supervisors. She retired in 2010, becoming a stay-at-home wife who found great pleasure in cooking, decorating her home, and caring for her grandchildren who held the key to her heart.
Loving mother and grandmother, awesome sister and aunt, committed cousin and friend, Rossalland had a servant's heart and found great joy in helping others. One of her greatest qualities was her ability to encourage people to make the best of everything. She believed wholeheartedly that there was no obstacle that could not be overcome. A beacon of light and love, Rossalland will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life.
A Time to Rest: On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Rossalland peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest and peace with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rock Hudson, Sr.
