IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roy Lee
Brown
May 5, 1951 – September 11, 2022
Roy Lee Brown was born May 5, 1951, to the late Charlie Lee Brown, Sr. and Marie Wright Brown in Albany, Georgia.
He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe High School in 1970. Immediately after high school, Roy worked at Martin Twin Movie Theater (Cinema 8) as a supervisor, working zealously and faithfully for several years.
At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He dearly loved the Lord and remained prayerful and humble throughout his life. Roy was always thankful for his many blessings.
Family and friends were the center of his life. He embraced and cherished memories that brought family and friends together. His discrete, energetic but humble personality made many smiles and plenty of laughter. His inner strength and love for the Lord carried him through any ups and downs of life. He was a kind person that anyone would love to call brother, uncle, or cousin.
On September 11, 2022, Roy transitioned from this earthly life to be with his heavenly father and in the arms of his loving parents. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Lee Brown, Jr.
When the soul leaves the body, my job will be finished here with many tears and sadness for its destination, the soul will be read. With joy and sorrow, this is the soul's final journey…..
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his siblings, Barbara Jean Threadcraft (Lenorris), Nina Delois Reid, Fleta Ann Jackson, Annie Hamilton (Douglas), Doris Hardwick, Melvin Brown, and Walter Brown all of Albany, GA; aunts, Bernice Robinson of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Hattie Mae Pickle and Ethel Wright of Albany, GA, and Betty Brown of Rochester, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
