IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sabrina Lavette
Holsey
June 24, 1967 – April 22, 2019
The journey of life for Sabrina Lavette Holsey began in Albany, Georgia on June 24, 1967. She was the beloved daughter of Geraldine Holsey and Aurthor Harris, Sr.
She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System, including Monroe High School; and the Southwest Georgia Institute of Education where she received her high school diploma with top honors. She continued her quest for knowledge at Albany Technical College, earning degrees in Horticulture, Business Management, Culinary Arts, and Early Childhood Education.
Sabrina was a dedicated member of New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully wherever needed. During the culminating events of the 2019 Tribe Fundraiser, she was recognized as the second place winner. She dearly loved the Lord and held fast to her faith, even in the midst of health challenges.
Often described as a persistent, hardworking mother, Sabrina gave her best at whatever she did. Over the years, she diligently cared for her family through her employment as a bus driver for Albany Transit, Baby World, and Smith Daycare. She made many lasting friendships that will forever be cherished and remembered.
Loving daughter, devoted mother and grandmother, caring sister and aunt, committed niece and cousin, and loyal companion and friend, Sabrina loved the people in her life unconditionally. She was a protector and caregiver for anyone who needed her—never asking anything in return.
On April 22, 2019, Sabrina transitioned to her eternal home. She was predeceased by two in-laws, Jessie Cole and Sarah Mae.
Loving memories will remain in the hearts of her parents, Geraldine Holsey and Aurthor (Estella) Harris, Sr.; husband, Reco Allen; children, Shenquez Holsey and Breonna Holsey; siblings, Eric (April) Smith, Author Harris, Jr., Tomeka (Alonzo) Boone, Audriana Holsey, and Phonecia Harris; grandchildren, Kingston Holsey and Meiah Benton; aunts and uncles, Jurybell Johnson, Bobbie (James) Edwards, Charlotte Harris, Dock Holsey, J.
