IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Selina Faye
Martin
January 31, 1966 – December 23, 2022
Selina Faye Martin was born in Albany, Georgia on January 31, 1966. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Martin and Willie Fred Robinson.
She received her early childhood and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System. Throughout school, Selina was a very inquisitive student with a beaming temperament that was a ray of sunshine to peers, teachers, and close friends.
"Lil Faye," as she was endearingly called by family and friends, was a beautiful free-spirited individual whose who was a sheer joy to be around . She had the unique ability to turn an ordinary day into an adventure, a chore into an activity, and a boring evening into a memory. Her passionate, one-of-a-kind personality attracted a wide circle of people who became the recipients of a long, loving, and lasting friendship. Regardless of the circumstances, she was always there to lend a helping hand. Anyone who knew her also knew how much she loved and treasured her family, and never missed an opportunity to spend precious time with them creating unforgettable memories.
Faye enjoyed many things in life—shopping, decorating, and keeping everyone's kids; but, her greatest passion was hair styling. At an early age, she knew she wanted to be a hairstylist and worked hard over the years to hone her creative talents and abilities. She was a unique, fiery stylist who loved creating "cutting edge" hair styles that captured the attention of everyone around and left them in awe of her God-given gift. Yes, she was talented, skilled, kind, humorous, dedicated, and sincere; and she touched the lives of many people in a very special way.
On Friday, December 23, 2022, Faye transitioned from this earthly life to life eternal. During our sorrow, we rejoice and give reverence to God for allowing us to share her life for 56 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Martin.
