IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Mcafee
Emiarata
April 9, 1953 – June 7, 2024
Sharon D. McAfee Emiarata was born in Albany, Georgia on April 9, 1953. She was the beloved daughter of the late Frank McAfee and Ardella B. McAfee.
She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe High School. Throughout school, she was a very considerate, energetic young lady who gained much from her educational experiences and student activities.
At a young age, Sharon accepted Christ as her personal savior and united with the Third Kiokee Baptist Church. She dearly loved the Lord and remained prayerful throughout life.
Sharon was a devoted mother who ate not the bread of idleness and always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. Over the years, she diligently provided for her family through her employment with Cagles and as a cashier at numerous convenience stores. No matter what the task, she always tackled each assignment with endless energy and gave her very best.
A strong but gentle woman, Sharon truly loved her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who held the key to her heart. She was full of energy, stayed on the move, was well organized, had a keen sense of humor, and loved making everyone laugh. When in her presence, there was never a dull moment. Her presence will be deeply missed.
On June 7, 2024, Sharon transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest with the Lord. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank McAfee, Jr.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her children, Tarsha Terrell, Kenya Terrell, Kawanna Terrell, Keela Terrell Jenkins (Curtis) of Albany, GA, and Joel Terrell of Atlanta, GA; siblings, Curtis Reid, Charles McAfee, Doris Grison, and Alpha Dunnam all of Albany, GA, and Beverly Mills (Dennis) of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Keshundrianna, Ny'Kendra, Tyreek, Kenovia, Kenoria, NyKiria, Neveah, Ny'Asia, and Patience of Albany, GA, and Jamiya, Jasmyn and Ziaire of Atlanta, GA; three great grandchildren, Aubree, Ky'ris and Leilah; and a host of aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
