Obituary

Stacey Germal Grant, beloved son of Hardwick Grant, Jr. and the late Sharon McDaniel, was born on November 28, 1973, in Albany, Georgia.

He received his formal education in the public schools of Dougherty County, including Westover High School. While at Westover, he was active in numerous school organizations, activities, and sporting events.

As a youth, Stacey accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He was united in holy matrimony to the Patricia Grant and their union was blessed with four loving children. Stacey was persistent, hardworking man who devoted much of his time and energy providing for his family. For numerous years, he was employed as a truck driver for United Distributors, Inc. He was a loyal and conscientious employee who took great pride in his work.

Stacey was a very high-spirited burst of positive energy. He had a mind that never ceased questioning, a serious twinkle in his eyes, a fearless and loving spirit, and a heart that opened freely to family and friends. When life experiences became blurry, he did everything in his power to make them clearer; oftentimes turning them into unforgettable adventures and memories. He was a loving father and grandfather, a compas-sionate brother and nephew, an awesome uncle and cousin, and a loyal friend.

On Saturday, January 11, 2020, Stacey answered the call to eternal rest. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Germalia Grant; and one brother, Maine Grant.

Left to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories are his children, Jamekia Grant, Shebrekia Grant, and Stacey Grant, Jr.; his sister, Terri Albritten; grandson, Ky'Ree Perry; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.
