Susie B. Smith was born to the late Author Burgess and Mary W. Dawson on May 7, 1951 in Oakfield Ga.
Susie B. Smith was educated in the public school system and graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School. She was employed at Harambe Head start for over 30 Years until she retired in 1993.
She was married to Mr. Oliver Otis Smith on September 3, 1976 and remained so until his death.
Susie had a warm, gentle and loving personality that affected those who come in contact and knew her in such a loving way.
Susie B. Smith confessed Christ at and early age and gave her life to the Lord at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Oakfield, Ga.
In the wee hours of the early Wednesday morning of October 6, 2021, The lord reached down and picked one of his fairest flowers and called her
home to receive her rewards. Susie fought a good fight, she has finished her course, she kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give her at that day – and not to her only, but unto all them also that love his
appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8
Susie B. Smith leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter, Eastra Tamika Smith (Cedric Mack); Six Sons, Murray Scott, Eddie Smith,
Nelson (Sharon) Scott, and one son "Frankie (Tiklia) Scott preceded her in death; Oliver (Shonda) Smith, and Joseph Smith; Eight sisters, Four sisters preceded her in death; Four living sisters Betty Jones, Gloria Davis, Catherine Briley, Christine Lewis; Six Brothers, Four preceded her in death, Two living brothers, Nelson (Zena) Dawson, Sammy Hayes. One God daughter Helen Jones. One special Nephew – Manchester Anderson; 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends
that love her so dearly
