Tamika Deshawn Green was born in Albany, Georgia on October 17, 1977. She graduated from Dougherty Comprehensive High School in 1996 and Darton State College in 2009 where she majored in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for various medical facilities for over 9 years. Tamika was a veteran and served in the United States Army and the Army Reserves for 8 years. She gave her life to Christ at the age of 10 and remained a devout Christian until her death as a faithful member of Living Waters Church of God. Despite the obstacles she faced, she always smiled and gave a word of encouragement to others to help them through their life experiences. Tamika loved the Lord and used her knowledge and understand of God's word to lift others and inspire them to be great. She will be remembered for her bright smile and beautiful brown eyes. Tamika's family called her "Mika", her grandchildren called her "Jazzy", her friends called her "Sister" and God called her a "Good and Faithful Servant" and called her home.
Tamika is survived by her parents, John and Jeonette Alston and Moses and Louise Cross. She also leaves to cherish her memories 3 children: Alexis Jackson, Brandon Sibley and Chasity Sibley, 5 grandchildren: Braelan Jackson, Jayce Bonner, Carsen Bonner, Laila Bonner, and Landon Bonner, 12 siblings: Phyllis Green, Felita (Altha) Stewart, Kimberly Green, Samuel (Peggie) Green, Nikka Williams, Falonda Williams, Michael (Mona) Jackson, Amonika (Gregory) Means, Avikki (Donald) Monts, Diane (Craig) Garrett, Jerome (Cathy) Wright, and Moses (Veronica) Cross Jr. She is also survived by 6 devoted friends/sisters: Erica Douglas Jones, Kechia Seabrooks Rowles, Erica Malone Smith, Tawanna Royal, Cannice Ellis, Maria Johnson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
