Tanitha Sherrill Edwards was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on February 28. 1983.  She was the beloved daughter of Lois Leneer Hernandez and Mykle Jerome Feggins.

Growing up in Albany, she was educated in the Dougherty County School System, including Mock Road Elementary, Dougherty Middle, and Dougherty High Schools.  Every class needed at least one person who could make everyone smile…..that was our Tanitha.  She was a beacon of light to everyone around her; teachers and classmates alike. Believing strongly in higher education, she continued her quest for knowledge at Albany Technical College where she received an associate degree in Business Administration.

Very early in life, Tanitha accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She dearly loved the Lord and remained humble and prayerful throughout life's journey.

Tanitha was a vibrant and accomplished young businesswoman who ws known for her infectious enthusiasm, sharp intellect, and unwavering dedication to her career.  Over the years, she skillfully balanced her work life with her duties as a meticulous homemaker and mother of four.

Family relationships were vital to Tanitha and a source of great joy and fellowship. Freely, she opened the umbrella of unconditional love and generosity not only to her children, but to her family and friends as well.  She had a servant's heart and delighted in helping others—never asking anything in return.  You could not know her without being inspired by her love and devotion to her family, friends, and community.  Her beautiful smile, sense of humor, sassy and savvy demeanor, and ability to "move mountains" to get things done will be long remembered by all who knew and loved her.

On February 20, 2025, Tanitha transitioned from this earthly life.  Though her earthly departure leaves a void in the hearts of many, we take comfort in knowing that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."

Precious memories will forever be cherished by her parents, Lois Leneer Hernandez and Mykle Jerome Feggins; her children, Deven Jevon Jackson, Daveon Brendan Jackson, Divaya Olivia-Gail Edwards, and Detrius Deon Edwards; families that she leaves behind, Bonnie and Curtis Collins, Queen Hall, Virginia and William Coleman, and Peter Jackson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
