Obituary

Tashica Shauntia Lane, beloved daughter of Debra Robinson-Lane and the late James Edward Lane, was born in Albany, Georgia on  December 2, 1988.

From her early days in Albany, Tashica exhibited a vibrant and compassionate spirit.  She was a proud graduate of Monroe High School where she thrived as a dedicated member of the ROTC program.  Determined to build a meaningful life, she continued her education at Albany Technical College and earned certification in forklift operations.  Shica, as she was endearingly called, was a deeply caring individual which led to her serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Wynfied    Rehabilitation Facility.  Her dedication to helping others ultimately inspired her to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).  She was a beacon of light in the lives of the people she served.

Tashica's family was the heart of her world, and her greatest joy was her beloved daughter, Ramiya. Her infectious laughter, boundless energy, unwavering loyalty to her family and friends, loving kindness and resilience are lasting tributes to the beauty of her heart and soul. Shica's passion for basketball and music also    reflected her dynamic personality and brought joy to everyone around her.

On November 10, 2024, Tashica transitioned from this earthly life.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by here   brother, Lashaun Lane; her grandparents, Mary Helen and Judge Gilbert, Sr.; and her aunt, Mary Fleming.

Cherished memories will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to her daughter, Ramiya Lane; her devoted mother, Debra Robinson-Lane; grandmothers, Irene Dawson and Louise Lane; siblings, Anthony Davis, Amber Davis, Schnell Williams, and   Tony Williams; aunt, Monchella; lifelong friends, Brandon Scott, Pierre Ware, Kymoski Davis, Earl Flemming, Travis Malone,  Jamie Bronner, and Danielle Lane; and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
