Tequela Marquette Dukes passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Albany, Georgia on January 30, 1984 to the late Kenneth Dukes and Donna Dukes. Tequela confessed Christ at an early age, and united with the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Baconton, Georgia. She was an active member of New Salem's Choir, Praise Team and Transportation Ministry. Tequela attended and graduated from Mitchell-Baker High School in 2002 and later attended Darton College with a concentration in Business Administration. She was last employed at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Georgia. "Dee" as she was affectionately known and called by many, was a very outgoing and free spirited person and leaves many memories to cherish with the following: a very loving and devoted mother, Minister Donna M. Dukes; two sisters, Kentoria (Nelson) Porter and Elycia L. Dukes; three nieces, Gabrielle, Ivy, and Riley and one nephew, Gabriel; grandmother, Mary Frances Daniels; aunts Eumonica (Fred) Brown, Cynthia (David) White, Gail Daniels, Yolanda Daniels, Glenda Spence, Keisha Spence, and Patricia Mitchell; Uncles: Charles (Gina) Dacus, Kelvin Daniels, Obadiah Dukes, Trey Bell, and Derrick Spence; godmother, Teresa Cubbage, godson, Al Childs, Jr. cousin- aunt, Bridgette, cousin- siblings, Johneisha and Dr. John E. Williams and Shemaiah Nash, The GGW Crew, Best Friend Breona Silas, and host of other relatives and special friends.
